You see the word Shashamane and immediately think Africa and black folks... yet

The word Shashamane is the name of an ancient southern Ethiopian city. It is Amharic and means "the place where they meet", and possibly other interpretations. Shashamane is known for being a pilgrimage site for Rastafarians from around the world. In 1948, Emperor Haile Selassie gifted 500 acres of land in Shashamane to people of African descent, especially African Americans who supported Ethiopia during the Italian invasion.

All that said, it was a bit surprising to see an all white skinned Euro band bearing the very significant Ethiopian city's name and jamming dub thumping Reggae grooves. Ain't nothing wrong with all that, but not expected. The rastafarian religion is in no way restricted to black people and does not practice any form of discrimination of any one who chooses to follow the tenets, and if they prefer to perform great Reggae music, bigups to dat!
